Simon Tseng, PE
Project Engineer
Simon Tseng is a project engineer in Dunaway’s Austin office. Currently, he is guided by other professional engineers while assisting in various civil design projects. Simon was born and raised in Taiwan. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from National Taiwan University and a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Simon prides himself on his ability to quickly learn new technologies and adjust to unfamiliar subjects.

What has been your favorite project to work on during your career?
I like utility related (water, wastewater, and storm drainage) design projects. It gives me challenges of multiple site constraints, and it’s interesting to think of creative ways to solve problems.
Where is your favorite place in the world?
Taiwan – it is my hometown, and I love it.
Do you have a favorite holiday?
I like Thanksgiving the most. It’s the start of holiday and shopping season.
What's the best piece of advice you have ever recieved?
Plan for the worst, hope for the best.
