Since 2014, Dunaway has provided civil engineering services for various campus facilities and infrastructure improvements on the American Airlines campus. The new American Airlines Robert L. Crandall Campus sits on an approximately 300-acre wooded landscape in Fort Worth, Texas. Home to more than 7,000 employees, the project consists of a 1.3 million-square-foot corporate headquarters situated in four high-rise buildings, in addition to a 6,000-vehicle parking garage with a central utility plant.

Dunaway collaborated with a Pelli Clark Pelli to provide boundary and topographic survey, civil engineering design, traffic signal design, and public roadway improvements design services on the project. Our team also worked closely with The Office of James Burnett and Kendall/Heaton Associates to develop a grading, drainage, and utility design that minimized the impact to the site’s natural features while adding additional landscape elements to the project. These elements include a meandering drainage swale that provides for an aesthetic walk from the garage to the office buildings and water features that will utilize the condensing tower water and roof stormwater run-off as a method of replenishment.
