Discipline Lead
As a Civil Discipline Lead, Denise Sanchez has expertise in the design and implementation of transportation systems, water supply, wastewater networks, and drainage systems. She has played key roles in the planning and execution of projects in the DFW metroplex and throughout Central Texas. Her experience includes project management from inception to completion, coordination with internal and external teams, ensuring compliance with regulations, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Why did you choose this career?
I chose to pursue a degree in civil engineering because I wanted to help build infrastructure projects that would enhance a community's quality of life. A rewarding career path exists in our profession and there are many job opportunities in both the public and private sectors.
What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any interesting hobbies?
In my spare time I love to hang out with my german shorthaired pointer, Charlie Ann. We enjoy running along the Katy Trail. I also love to sing and play the guitar, so you can find me on stage at karaoke night!
Where is your favorite place in the world?
Only the most magical place in the world, Disney World.
Do you have a favorite holiday?
Thanksgiving because in addition to getting to spending time with family I get the chance to express gratitude to the people seated nearby. Plus my mom's cooking is delicious!
