Mandy Weaver provides CAD design support on Dunaway|DBI projects. Mandy’s experience includes CAD design support for public works projects in water, wastewater, transportation and drainage for federal, state and municipal clients.

Why did you choose this career?

My father was a carpenter/home builder. I grew up working alongside him building and fixing things. In high school, I took drafting and fell in love with drawing – I studied architecture in college and ended up getting a drafting technology associates degree. Now I love the ease of AutoCAD!

What Core Value resonates with you the most?

Integrity – there is security in having the consistency of values and principles in my life through my actions and the people around me.

What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any interesting hobbies?

I love to sew and have been addicted to all things quilting for 20 years. I own a long arm computerized quilting machine. I specialize in making T-shirt quilts. I am the Vice President of the Cotton Patch Quilt Guild in Greenville, Texas. I go on several retreats a year with friends.

Where is your favorite place in the world?

I love to travel and my favorite place is the last place I’ve been...Alaska. But I also love Thailand, Philippines, Macao China, and Caribbean Islands.

Do you have a favorite holiday?

Thanksgiving – good food, surrounded by family and friends, contemplating gratitude.

What’s the best gift you’ve ever received?

Time spent with the giver.

What was your first job?

Birthday party clown at McDonalds...full costume and makeup! I was 15 years old.

What makes you laugh the most?

My four amazing grandkids! Logan - 18 , Garrett - 1 3 , Brooklyn - 6 , and Lincoln - 4.

What's the best piece of advice you have ever recieved?

Leave things better than you found them.
