Maryssa Stokes pursued a career in HR to make a meaningful impact in people’s lives by supporting individuals within an organization. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management. Before joining Dunaway, Maryssa worked for five years as an HR Generalist at a software automation company. In her current role as an HR Generalist, she focuses on employee benefits, employee relations, and recruiting. Maryssa believes that people are the key to an organization’s success and is passionate about helping them thrive.

Why did you choose this career?
I love being able to make an impact in someone's life. We spend the majority of our lives working, and the ability to help shape and organization and help employees day to day is a really special thing I feel lucky to do.
What Core Value resonates with you the most?
Attitude of Service. Within HR, I feel like a main pillar of what we strive for is to be of service to our organization and those within it! I love getting to see the impact of my actions and how they positively help others.
Do you have a favorite holiday?
Christmas! I love winter time and all of the festivities that go along with that time of year.
