Q+A

Why did you choose this career?

I have always had an interest in drawing homes and neighborhoods, leading me to want to be an architect. Once I realized I enjoyed math, I switched to engineering to enjoy a little of both.

What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any interesting hobbies?

When I'm not working or in school, I like trying new restaurants or convincing my husband to try new recipes I found online. We like getting our dinner and catching up on shows or new movies.

Where is your favorite place in the world?

My favorite place in the world is my home, where all my loved ones are. My husband, our three dogs, and our soon-to-be children.

What’s the best gift you’ve ever received?

The opportunity to become a dad through adoption is the best gift I have ever received.

What was your first job?

My first job was with TxDOT and what I thought would be my first engineering internship ended up being road maintenance, where we mostly picked up dead animals off the state roads.
