Bellaire Park Court

Residential properties along the west side of Bellaire Park Court, west of the TCU campus, were experiencing flooding from stormwater runoff during relatively minor rainfall events.   

Dunaway provided civil engineering and hydrology & hydraulics on the project where we analyzed flow through the existing pond and storm drain system to evaluate potential improvement alternatives by using InfoWorks two-dimensional flow software. The 2D approach allowed the team to visualize not only the impacts of the proposed system on the Bellaire Park Court area, but it facilitated a basin-wide solution that would alleviate flooding in the Bellaire Park Court area, as well as significantly mitigate potential inundation within another downstream neighborhood with a history of flooding.
