Dunaway has been pivotal in the negotiation process for 20 parcels, providing comprehensive services that encompass title research, due diligence, offer presentations, and the facilitation of closings to secure settlements. Our efforts also extended to assisting in the acquisition of easements from property owners throughout the project and coordinating special commissioners’ hearings. The acquisition activities initiated in April 2020 are still underway. The project, located in Rockwall, Texas, was temporarily paused due to external political factors. Despite the high turnover rate of TxDOT managers, with four managers having been assigned to this project, Dunaway’s extensive experience in Right-of-Way (ROW) ensured the continuation of the project without further delays. Our team played a crucial role in educating incoming managers on the FM 552 project, guaranteeing seamless transitions in TxDOT leadership and maintaining the project’s momentum.
