Dunaway is currently providing civil engineering, surveying, construction inspection, and landscape architecture services for the development of the Martin County Community Complex in Stanton, Texas. Over 70 acres of undeveloped land are being transformed to provide a central gathering space for community members and visitors of all ages. The complex will include an arena and expo area, community center, children’s playground and splash pad, RV hookups, and sports fields.
Dunaway’s designers previously completed the site investigation and master planning phases for the site as well as worked alongside DRG Architects on the programmatic and conceptual design. Civil design currently includes utilities and paving for each building as well as water-sewer and roadway infrastructure design for the entire development.
The landscape architecture design will feature playground theming, incorporating site grading and drainage to mimic a natural-flowing arroyo throughout the site. Nestled between the playground and community center, a splash pad will further enhance the site’s playfulness, providing children and families with an array of unique water features and ground elements.
