Dunaway’s structural engineering team partnered with the Office for Local Architecture to transform an existing two-story, 59,000 square foot tilt-wall office box into a modern healthcare clinic in Austin, Texas.

During the project, due diligence investigation uncovered multiple building performance issues, including a corroded roof deck with water damage, after being exposed to water for years. Dunaway’s structural design team worked to remediate all undesired conditions and damage to create a space guaranteeing the future function of the building.

Front and rear lobby additions feature large, open volumes with expansive curtainwalls and architectural canopies to infuse the interior space with natural light. New functionality was also incorporated into the space through the addition of an architectural stair and the addition of a new stair core.
