Pipers Meadow Park

Dunaway provided structural engineering and planning + landscape architecture services on Pipers Meadow Park, located in San Antonio, Texas. This project included a 3-acre drainage area parcel remaining from a larger subdivision community in northern San Antonio. Dunaway was selected to transform this drainage area into a small, natural neighborhood park.  

Through a series of public meetings with an exuberant citizen group, the design team listened to the community’s desire for a simple nature park for walking and peaceful enjoyment of the flora and fauna in the area. The final design solution features a concrete walking trail and major stormwater drainage improvements to the area that was previously susceptible to flooding. Additional improvements to the grounds include new trees, bike racks, trash/recycling, and natural features on-site.
