This is a stunning residential project located on an abandoned limestone quarry lake. This modern home boasts a total living space of 2,600 square feet, complemented by approximately 1,300 square feet of outside decking. The project involved providing structural engineering services, focusing on the foundation and framing for the new residence.

One of the unique challenges of this project was the open living concept, which required innovative structural solutions. Additionally, the house features a large butterfly roof with cantilevered overhangs, adding to its architectural complexity and aesthetic appeal.

The home fulfilled the client’s need for a structurally sound modern home, which went on to receive various architectural awards. Notably, this house was nominated in the HGTV Designer of the Year selection, showcasing the exceptional work provided by Dunaway in structural engineering.
