Dunaway’s civil engineering team worked with Tarrant County and the City of North Richland Hills to design a proposed reinforced concrete pavement section and a 4-foot-wide concrete sidewalk for Meadow Court.
Dunaway coordinated with City staff to replace the existing water and sanitary sewer lines before the design and construction of the proposed concrete pavement, sidewalks, and storm drain inlet modifications in our scope.
With utilities already replaced, our Team was able to locate improvements in the parkway and design around them and the newly constructed water services and meters. As a result, Dunaway provided new sidewalks for the property owners while minimizing disturbance to residents’ landscaping within the parkways. The roadway elevation allowed new driveways to be constructed within the City’s right of way and minimized work on private property. Additionally, Dunaway determined the two existing storm drain inlets onsite could be re-used, which allowed for significant cost savings.
The project was designed within the 90-day timeframe required by the County, and the schedule was met – allowing the project to be constructed during the more practical spring and summer months.
