Dunaway has provided full services to Texas Christian University’s (TCU) expansion and renovation projects across the 325-acre site for over 50 years. Projects have utilized our engineering expertise for site development, paving and drainage design, structural engineering, environmental engineering, and survey services for academic, administrative, athletic, and residential facilities, with many receiving LEED certification. Infrastructure improvements include Stadium Drive, the East Campus Central Plant, parking lots, and parking structures. Dunaway also expanded services for TCU to include a GIS inventory of the new Southside Campus and is currently collecting as-built utility information for TCU Greek Housing.

Additionally, Dunaway provided site development for TCU’s Intellectual Commons expansion and renovation on the east side of campus on Rees-Jones Hall. The 62,000 square feet facility will house academic classrooms, faculty offices, interdisciplinary space, and library functions. Smith Hall and Mary Couts Burnett Library have also been expanded and renovated simultaneously with new construction, and Rees-Jones Hall will be linked to the Library with a new plaza and grand staircase.

The TCU Energy Institute and the Institute for Child Development will also be housed in the new facility. Infrastructure location has been a major challenge, but Dunaway provided design solutions to integrate new utilities into the existing network while anticipating future TCU initiatives.
