IH-45 and SH-69 South

Dunaway provided right-of-way (ROW) services on a TxDOT expansion of the IH-45 corridor near downtown Houston. Dunaway has been instrumental in facilitating negotiations for 20 parcels, offering a comprehensive suite of services that includes title research, due diligence, offer presentation, and coordination of closings to secure settlements. Our involvement extended to acquiring easements from property owners across the project’s scope and orchestrating special commissioners’ hearings. The acquisition phase commenced in April 2020 and is currently in progress. This pivotal project, situated in Downtown Houston, experienced a temporary suspension due to external political influences. Throughout this period, Dunaway remained committed to ensuring all property owners were well-informed about the project’s intricacies, maintaining open lines of communication to alleviate any concerns. With the project’s resumption, our proactive engagement and transparent approach allowed us to proceed without encountering delays or opposition from the property owners.
