Survey Party Chief

Nicholas Martin began his career at Dunaway in 2021 after earning a bachelor’s degree in geography from Texas Christian University. Prior to obtaining his degree, he served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. As a Survey Party Chief, Nicholas efficiently collects the raw data necessary for the production of topographic, boundary, ALTA, and a myriad of other surveys. In addition, he leverages his leadership and mentorship skills to train and mold the next generation of Field Assistants into future Party Chiefs and ambassadors for Dunaway to our clients and the public while out in the field.

What Core Value resonates with you the most?

Integrity. I try to govern my life with integrity and a personal sense of honor to do what I say, and be truthful so that I can be someone that can be relied upon.

What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any interesting hobbies?

My most interesting hobby is raising chickens, specifically silkie chickens. Outside of that, I enjoy reading and spending as much time with my two sons as possible.

Where is your favorite place in the world?

My favorite place in the world is Hong Kong, though it probably looks much different now than when I last visited. I enjoyed visiting the various cultural sites, like the Shaolin Monastery, the Tian Tan Buddha, and Victoria's

What’s the best gift you’ve ever received?

My wife gave me a packet of note cards for one birthday with 100 different reasons why she loved me.

Why did you choose this career?

It combines my love of the outdoors with working in a Geography related field.
