Dunaway provided civil and structural engineering and surveying services for the Site Plan Exemption process, renovation of the train depot, realignment of train tracks, and an assessment of the train tunnel for the renewal of this beloved mini train in Zilker Park. The original train was a cherished part of Austin’s history since 1961 until it was decommissioned in 2019. Our team navigated the complexities of preserving a historic attraction while updating it to meet modern standards to help reopen the train to delight residents and visitors as an integral part of the city’s future.
