Q+A

Why did you choose this career?

Structural engineering has always intrigued me as it's a career that has a very direct impact on everyone in our society. Whether it's your home, the bridge you drive over on your way to work, the restaurant you eat at, or the office you work in, every person is directly impacted by something a structural engineer has designed. The combination of having a tangible impact on society and also being challenged every single day to solve complex problems is what drew me to this career.

What Core Value resonates with you the most?

I would definitely say integrity. I feel like a lot of times in the construction industry, integrity is not something that's emphasized enough. As engineers, and especially consulting engineers, it's important that we act to the best ethical and moral standards in our design and business dealing as the structures we design have a very tangible impact on society.

What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any interesting hobbies?

In my spare time, I'm involved in my church community. I also enjoy spending time with my friends, family, and I love the outdoors and photography!
