Graduate Engineer
Marcos serves as a Graduate Engineer in Dunaway’s Farmersville office, focusing on water and wastewater projects. Marcos’ passion for engineering was sparked by his early experiences with his father, a framer, which allowed him to witness the intricacies of construction firsthand. His aptitude for math further fueled his interest in the field. Marcos earned his Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering from Texas A&M University-Commerce and holds an EIT certification. Before joining Dunaway, he worked as a design engineer, specializing in single-family residential projects within the land development sector. His current role has broadened his perspective on development, allowing him to gain valuable insights into different aspects of the industry. Marcos is proficient in using Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and FlowMaster.

Why did you choose this career?
I've been surrounded by construction my whole life, so growing up I was always intrigued with the design and development of structures that create change for communities.
What Core Value resonates with you the most?
Respect is a core value of mine because it fosters understanding and meaningful connections with others, creating a foundation for mutual trust and cooperation.
Do you have a favorite holiday?
Christmas! I get to see family that I don't see very often, plus we always make tamales around that time.
