Project Engineer
David is a Project Engineer in Dunaway’s structural engineering department. He and his team endeavor to meet client needs with practical solutions focused on quality and thoroughness. Together, they design structures for multifamily apartments, commercial, worship, government, education, and industrial projects across Texas and national retail brand chains and in many other states. David has over 13 years of experience in low-rise construction. He specializes in the structural design of luxury high-density multifamily apartments and commercial retail buildings. David is a graduate of Oklahoma State University where he attained a five-year bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering with an emphasis on Structural design. David is also a Texas Department of Insurance Windstorm Inspector for hurricane-prone areas of the Texas Gulf Coast.

Why did you choose this career?
My father was a civil engineering Program Manager for 24 years in the USAF. He inspired me to follow in his footsteps and be an engineer.
What Core Value resonates with you the most?
Integrity. Engineers have the responsibility for the safety of the public.
Where is your favorite place in the world?
Texas first, then I would say anywhere in western Europe.
Do you have a favorite holiday?
I enjoy Christmas because I get more time to spend with family.
What was your first job?
I mowed grass for several homes in my neighborhood.
