Sama Thabit, EIT
Graduate Engineer
Sama Thabit serves as a Civil Graduate Engineer in Dunaway’s Houston office. Before joining Dunaway, Sama worked as a Drafter/Detailer in the structural/metal building field and spent two years as an engineer-in-training at the City of Houston Permitting Center. In her current role, Sama’s responsibilities include leading and designing various assigned civil infrastructures including paving, drainage, grading, water, and sanitary sewer. She is experienced in several software programs such as Civil 3D, Metal Building System (MBS), SketchUp, and AutoCAD.

What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any interesting hobbies?
Cooking, shopping, swimming, and watching movie with my kids.

My daughter's joke!

Why did you choose this career?
As a civil engineer, I feel that there is always an opportunity to learn. Each project has its own challenges and operational issues that give me an opportunity to learn and overcome.
