Yamile Garcia, a talented Landscape Designer, brings her passion for math, art, sustainability, and community engagement to Dunaway’s Dallas office. As a graduate of Texas A&M University, Yamile developed a deep appreciation for Landscape Architecture and its ability to create meaningful connections between people and their environment. With a strong focus on environmental sustainability, she designs spaces that not only enhance natural beauty but also foster human interaction. Yamile’s expertise spans various projects, including multi-family developments, community parks, commercial spaces, and irrigation design. She is excited to continue her career at Dunaway, where she can further cultivate client relationships and contribute to the creation of exceptional landscapes.

Why did you choose this career?
Landscape Architecture combines everything that I am passionate about: the environment, art, and design. I really enjoy working on projects that involve and bring together communities by creating places for them to play, rest, and enjoy the outdoors.
What Core Value resonates with you the most?
The core value I identify with the most is Attitude of Service, I really enjoyed getting the client's vision and helping to turn it into a reality. I believe that understanding expectations and going above and beyond on a project is very important.
What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any interesting hobbies?
I really enjoy reading, knitting, crochet, baking, painting, and going on walks on my free time.
Where is your favorite place in the world?
My favorite place in the world are South Padre Island, I grew up going to the beach here and Point Lobos State Natural Reserve in California, it's one of the most beautiful state parks I've ever been to.
What’s the best gift you’ve ever received?
Anything hand made! My mom used to make clothes for me when I was younger and I treasure them so much.
