Dunaway provided the design for roadway paving, drainage, water, wastewater, streetlights, sidewalks, landscape, and irrigation improvements for Danieldale Road, from South Main Street to U.S. 67 in Duncanville, Texas. Dunaway completed the design of approximately 2,300 linear feet of 4-lane arterial roadway paving (81’ B-B within 100’ right-of-way), including pedestrian sidewalks and ADA ramps.
Prior to the design phase, Dunaway performed a corridor study for Danieldale Road within the city limits. The study analyzed a road diet from the existing 6-lane to the proposed 4-lane arterial with the inclusion of bike lane facilities. Dunaway presented the study findings and recommendations to the City Council, and ultimately, the proposed roadway section selected consisted of a 4-lane divided arterial with 8’-12’ shared-use trails off-street in both parkways.
