A key challenge was accommodating the home’s unusually long spans using only wood framing, requiring careful structural analysis and creative engineering solutions. The residence also features a striking two-story wine room designed to support the weight of a fully stocked collection—approximately 3,000 pounds of wine. Dunaway engineered the supporting crawlspace framing to safely account for the concentrated load while preserving the home’s open, spacious layout and architectural character.
