Dunaway provided structural engineering services for the Royse City Independent School District’s (RCISD) new Event Center. This project, part of the district’s 2021 Bond, includes the construction of a modern, two-story, steel-framed event center at the High School, encompassing approximately 22,072 square feet. The facility is strategically situated at the south end of RCISD Stadium, offering a prime location that enhances its accessibility and visibility. The design features an expansive two-story curtainwalls at the building entrance and along the north face of the building. These curtainwalls not only provide natural light but also create a striking facade that welcomes visitors with a sense of openness. Additionally, the building boasts a balcony that overlooks the football field, offering a unique vantage point for spectators and guests.
Inside, the Event Center is equipped with four versatile meeting spaces and a large ballroom area. These spaces are designed to accommodate a wide range of activities, making the facility a hub for community engagement. Whether it’s hosting community events, staff development sessions, student banquets, or other special occasions, the Event Center is well-equipped to meet the diverse needs of the Royse City community.
