Dunaway partnered with the City of Wylie to design two vibrant spraygrounds – located at Community Park and East Meadow Park – and the city’s first-ever dog park, “Prairie Tails”. Each sprayground was designed with a unique theme that complements its natural surroundings, offering family-friendly water play experiences. Features include modern filtration systems, shaded seating, and newly constructed restroom facilities. Low Impact Development (LID) strategies such as curbless parking and bioswales enhance water quality, while solar lighting reduces energy demand.

Prairie Tails Dog Park spans three 1-acre paddocks inspired by the modern prairie aesthetic of the municipal complex. Each paddock includes shade structures, seating, agility equipment, drinking fountains, and a dog wash station – creating a safe and stimulating environment for dogs and their owners to play, train, and relax.Dunaway’s landscape architecture team worked closely with city stakeholders to deliver thoughtfully designed spaces that balance recreation, sustainability, and community identity.
