Where is your favorite place in the world?
New Zealand is home to me and one of my favorite places in the world.
Do you have a favorite holiday?
Anything that involves adventure and learning about the local culture. Pre-kids, I backpacked through Mexico from top to bottom via bus over three weeks.
What was your first job?
Delivering the paper by bike at 13 years old.
Why did you choose this career?
Engineering was a career that came naturally to me and I was always good at it and enjoyed it. I like to find solutions to problems so engineering has always come naturally. I choose to be a civil engineer so that I could help society and others. I have a long-term goal of giving back and helping people with civil engineering in developing countries.
What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any interesting hobbies?
Spending time with family, tennis, and mountain biking. I helped start a weekly mountain bike trail ride for kids that has helped improve biking in my local community.
