Dunaway partnered with PBK Architects on the brand new, $36.5 million Annetta Elementary School in Aledo ISD. The 107,391 square-foot facility is a two-story split level with an 800-student capacity and a state-required storm shelter. Features include grade-level pods with collaborative learning spaces and an open library with reading nooks and natural light that overlooks an interior outdoor learning hub.

Project challenges included working with a site that had a significant amount of slope, as well as complexities for the concrete storm shelter. However, the project team was able to navigate these difficulties under budget and on time.
