Dunaway is currently providing pre-design services for the Permian Basin Behavioral Health Center (PBBHC), working closely with Broaddus and other team members to better understand the intersection of the needs of the PBBHC, its anticipated users, and the site.

Our work includes preliminary civil engineering and a Site Investigation Report to detail the existing entitlements, utilities, thoroughfares, land ownership, and energy development both on the site and in its adjacent context. These existing conditions are then addressed in narrative format to develop project constraints and requirements, such as stormwater management and protection of the existing plaza, and the functionality of connections to existing TxDOT thoroughfares for visitors, patients, and healthcare providers.

Site programming diagrams and thematic imagery will provide a baseline for a world-class behavioral health and therapeutic environment that responds to the regional climate and geography while providing controlled connection to nature and a sequencing of spaces for graduated inclusivity within the greater planned campus.
