Why did you choose this career?
I originally started my college career on a business path with a major in accounting. I excelled in mathematics and was persuaded by a professor to consider a career in engineering. I took a few engineering courses, switched my major and never looked back.
What has been your favorite project to work on during your career?
Bouldin Creek Commons Office Building has been the most challenging, yet exciting, project I’ve worked on thus far in my career. The collaboration achieved during the design process both internally and externally was fulfilling and enjoyable.
What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any interesting hobbies?
I love to cook! I spend a lot of time in the kitchen trying my hand at new recipes and cuisines.
Do you have a favorite holiday?
Thanksgiving. It’s short and sweet, a time for family, and a holiday during which everyone unplugs and relaxes, if only for a couple of days. Also…food.
What was your first job?
I worked as a camp counselor as a teenager at a gymnastics camp. I was a competitive gymnast for eight years when I was younger.
What makes you laugh the most?
My puppy, Kobe! I also love comedy and always have it playing in the car and at home while hanging around.
What is the most daring thing you've ever done?
Move to Austin from New York without knowing anyone and without ever having visited!
